The FAFSA is Now Open

On October 1st, current and prospective college students and their families can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), for their share of federal student aid (including grants, loans and work-study) for the 2021–2022 school year.

Keep in mind that colleges and universities often distribute student aid funds on a first-come, first-serve basis in order of when students complete the financial aid applications.

To that end, we anticipate that this year it will be more important than ever that students complete the FAFSA sooner rather than later as the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to lead to an increased need for financial aide.
